It's A Miracle!

Miracles do happen. Remember Blackie, the cat I ran over and was paralyzed? We she has rehabilitated herself and is now walking! In 2 weeks she has gone from dragging the back half of her body to walking on all fours. She walks as though she's had just a little bit too much catnip but we'll take it! I'm so glad we opted to not put her down and give her some time to see if she would heal. She has gone on with life, taking care of her 5 kittens like nothing ever happened. Her kittens are just about weaned so if anyone is interested....!

Splish Splash They Were Takin' A Bath

Mollie and I got the biggest kick out of the "baby" ducks and "baby" geese crammed in the "baby" pool. We sat and watched them dunk and splash for several minutes. As soon as you refill the pool they come a waddlin' so they can muddy it up in 5 minutes flat.

2 Babies, 2 Days

The last of the baby donkeys were born in the last couple of days. Nora had a rose dun (pink) jenny and Clementine had a blaze face jenny. All jennies so far and we are done until fall.

The Graduate

Here is the big preschool graduate. The program was cute. The kids sang some of their favortie songs from this year. "We are the Dinosaurs, Marching, Marching", "Shakey Egg" and "Mahalo". Don't you wish your life was this simple?!

Look what I found this morning! Yet another cutie in my field! I really like it when these babies just appear with no assistance needed on our part!

Do, A Deer A, A Female Deer

Look what Jerry found today! He and Mollie were mowing the fields when he called me and said he thought he hit a baby deer. I went down to find him holding the baby. She (I assume, because she's just so darn cute) appeared to be fine so we put her back in the grass. I called the conservationist and they told me that her momma will come back tonight for her and to leave her alone. It's an old wives tale that just because we touched her that momma won't take care of her. We (that would be Jerry and I) are hoping momma comes tonight. Mollie on the other hand has bugged me 5,287 times today to go see the deer and bottle feed it. I'd rather her momma do the job!
