While taking Mollie to school yesterday, we spotted a bald eagle flying across the adjoining field. I was thrilled to return and find him perched in one of our trees out in our field. I raced to the house, grabbed my camera, jumped back in my car and drove down the drive to get closer to him. My picture is really crummy BUT it's a bald eagle in our field! So exciting! I'm so glad our country picked the bald eagle over the turkey. Don't get me wrong, turkeys are nice (we've had a lot of them here lately) but they don't hold a candle to the majestic eagle and we are so lucky to have one stop by our place if even for just a couple of days.
